The Glen Canyon Action Network was founded in 2000 with the mission to see the Glen Canyon Dam demolished and Lake Powell drained in order to restore a free-flowing Colorado River. Its name was changed to Living Waters in 2001 which became part of the Waterkeeper Alliance in 2002, and added Colorado Riverkeeper to its name.
